Principal's Message
The Laurelton School is a close knit family that serves students in grades 3K through fifth. We are continually striving to produce positive, motivated students who are well rounded. We are a collaborative and safe learning environment that believes in people before programs. The Laurelton faculty and staff are committed to the well – being of all students.
Every student has access to a laptop during the school day which further enhances student engagement and learning. In addition, every student also has access to a device that they use at home.
Our 3K and 4K students use the Creative Curriculum on a daily basis for their exploratory learning. Grades K through 5 use HMH Into Reading, Envisions Mathematics, Amplify Science, and Passport to Social Studies. In addition to the content area subjects, students are exposed to technology, art and physical education.
Our commitment to nurturing the whole child can be seen through social emotional learning. Students and staff begin their day with mindfulness activities which include restorative circles. This sets the tone for both staff and students to have a productive and positive day. We also have Yoga Tuesdays which provides students with short brain breaks and gives them renewed focus for learning new things.
As we say at The Laurelton School, “It Takes a Team to Educate a Child... and each one of us is a part of that team!
